GEORGIA ASSOCIATION FOR DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION Office of the President Greetings to all GADE members: |
|
| GADE met on February 24, 2012, in Orlando, Florida at the NADE National Conference. Several strategies and proposals were discussed about membership, dues, and the prospect of renewing the USG Learning Support Conference. We are accepting new first time members and will start a new membership drive at the next USG LS State Conference, hopefully in spring 2013. There was no voting for executive board members because there was not a quorum of membership members. The executive board will remain the same until spring 2013. At that time, we will go through the process of nominating members for an entirely new board. I have started the reorganization of the GADE web site that will be hosted by Georgia Southwestern State University. Within a week, we will have a more informative website with new features and links. One of the new links will be for spotlights of GADE faculty and staff. There will also be a new link for GADE members to publish achievements on the web site. In the near future, the GADE web site will be able to distribute important information that will be available to all our members in a timely fashion. Please visit our website in a week and find all the new links and member information. My commitment is to make sure GADE reaches its goals while providing rewarding experiences that will enable all members to participate and grow. Let’s keep up the good work. |

| This page is not an official publication of NADE and does not delineate NADE policies; however, it is created under the auspices of the NADE's Georgia chapter, GADE. NADE is the National Association for Developmental Education, a union of learning support educators designed to facilitate information exchange, encourage inter-campus assistance, and develop awareness of our services outside the learning support community. | ![]() |
